YOUR SAFARI DAY-BY-DAY

Day 1: Johannesburg to the Greater Kruger National Park

Depart early from Johannesburg and travel east towards the Greater Kruger Wilderness area and the Manyeleti Game Reserve - sharing an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park this is a prime ‘Big Five' area. At Ndzhaka Camp we will be accommodated in permanent safari tents on raised wooden platforms each with its own private viewing deck. After lunch and time to settle into camp, you will depart in an open game viewing vehicle for an afternoon/evening guided game drive (3-4 hours) in the capable hands of your qualified ranger and tracker. Dinner is enjoyed at the main lapa, followed by coffee/drinks around the campfire while listening to the sounds of the nocturnal creatures in the surrounding bush. No other people, vehicles or noises - just nature! Meal plan: Lunch, Dinner (Breakfast for your own account)

Day 2: Manyeleti Game Reserve & Kruger

Led by the qualified Ashtons tour guide we depart before sunrise in the Ashtons vehicle, heading for the nearby Kruger National Park and a fantastic day of game viewing. The morning is spent game viewing with breakfast enjoyed at one of the many picnic sites in the park. Around midday we stop at Satara Rest camp where there is a chance to shop for curios. After searching for some of the Big 5 that may have been reported on the camp sightings board, we leave Kruger and return to the tranquility of Manyeleti. After freshening up back at camp we will set out on another exciting guided game drive (3-4 hours), stopping for sundowners at one of the reserves waterholes, before searching for the predators by spotlight. Dinner is enjoyed at the main lapa, before sharing stories of wildlife sightings around the campfire and soaking up the big African night sky. Just you, the animals and the bush! Meal plan: Breakfast, Dinner (Lunch for your own account)

Day 3: Johannesburg via the Panorama Route

Early morning guided game drive (3-4 hours) in Manyeleti, searching for the animals we may not yet have seen under the expert guidance of our qualified ranger and tracker. Breakfast at the central lapa before packing up and preparing for departure. On our journey back to Johannesburg we stop at some of the scenic highlights of Mpumalanga such as Blyde River Canyon and God's Window. Meal plan: Breakfast (Lunch & Dinner for your own account)
