The safari was more than I had imagined on every level - wilder, more beautiful, and hotter! It just exceeded our expectations on so many levels. One of the many memories was the last night game drive, watching the lions with the smell of the bush all around us, and the approaching storm! That was very special and of course the beauty of seeing the game in the natural habitat at such close range was just something else! The food was amazing and in such abundance!

This was my very first wildlife adventure. I felt like I was living in paradise because I never had this much fun in my life. I had the chance to experience what my friends use to fantasize about - spending time with the lovely and beautiful wild animals of Africa. The Ivory Route adventure was the first real "wilderness" trip I have been on and what an experience it was! The communication and openheartedness of the staff at the Mafefe cultural camp was astounding. The staff and guides at all the camps were so helpful and friendly and had the most amazing stories and experiences to share. We did 4x4 maneuvers you would otherwise only see on TV. The wildlife was like watching National Geographic on I-Max. I would recommend this adventure to all with an interest in getting away from it all and getting in tune with the very heartbeat of nature. This really is what dreams are made of!

My first time to South Africa and I found myself in the most beautiful and peaceful wildlife camps, I could not have even imagined. I highly appreciated the traditional and unique style of the accommodation, the remarkable concept in total as well as the wonderful local staff, their knowledge and stories. Their friendly mentality and openness made me feel very welcome and safe, just like at home! The wildlife and game experience was amazing, especially the leopard at Ndzhaka and the lions during the night game drive…not to forget the elephant herd at 5m distance or the many giraffes, birds, hippos etc. Definitely worth coming back again and again for extraordinary holidays!
