- All the Ashtons safaris are led by professionally trained Ashtons guides, who handle all the logistics of your tour, driving between camps and preparation of meals where necessary.
- They are on hand to answer questions and provide full assistance and support for the duration of your tour. At each camp a full briefing is given to guests on camp living and procedures in order to maximize the enjoyment of your stay and appreciation of the animals.
- Within Kruger Park itself, your Ashtons guide will also take you on a certain number of game drives within the park, knowing where to find the best viewing spots and waterholes and keeping in touch with regard to updates on specific sightings.

- At the African Ivory Route Camps you will also enjoy the skills and insight of the Ivory Route staff. These guides are 'locals' who have been trained in an exciting community upliftment project. Knowledge ranges from local flora and fauna to tracking, leading guided walks, camp management and camp relations. They also provide excellent insight into local traditions, folklore and culture.
- At the private game lodges there will be a full complement of highly trained staff ensuring you have a special and memorable experience, including intimate knowledge on the big game, fauna and flora of the region.
- On all guided drives and walks, the skills of the qualified rangers and trackers will allow for up-close-and-personal encounters with the Big Five and the African bush and wildlife.
